Good change, Joe. I was looking at TF's website the other day and noticed the policy statement on children where they say "abuse is reported," but neglected mention exactly to whom the abuse is reported.
I don't think the official position says anything about excommunication from fellowship being permanent or temporary, either.
Finally, they don't talk about how "excommunication" simply means "not living in a Family Home." I've heard about cases where the "excommunicated" member lives next door or down the street and has regular, unsupervised contact with Family members still living in the home, including the spouse, biological offspring and their friends.
While you're working on communication with TFI members in the area of the wikipedia entries, maybe check out how "excommunication" is being operationalized by TFI these days?
