It explains why the Family could claim THEY had not done it, yet because it was an IRFer associated with them, why it actually could be attributed to them and their teachings. No wonder they were willing to let this one quietly get swept under the rug.
It's not the first death the Family has covered up. Remember the swimming hole deaths at TSC that Berg was "so glad the authorities didn't blame on the Family, due to negligence"?
