I totally agree with you on this. I also believe criminals have a debt to society and deserve to have a court pass judgment on their guilt & liability.
I have figured out that keeping track of various Familite dramas is very much like watching a soap opera. It's one of my guilty pleasures, but unlike chocolate, it doesn't put on pounds.
