Another factor that IN-validates Apologist studies using current members is that they completely ignore the factor of control that exists. Any intelligent/scientific body would know that if you interviewed followers of Pol Pot in the peak of Khmer Rouge, followers would spout only the party line and it would glorify their movement and leader. And TFI is about as independent and democratic as the Khmer Rouge. They could interview all 125 or however many colonies and would get an eerily similar report because as we know TFI is coached especially at times of external scrutiny, on exactly how to respond. In fact, the eerie similarity in answers to controversial questions would speak for itself.
Aren't most of those assessments of the family bought and paid for anyway? Some people will do anything for money.
You are so right about the ex-member community being left out of the study. There is no statistical value in studying a destructive cult like the family because it's members default to parroting the PR line of the top.
