There is commentary and research as well as diagnostic quidelines for determining cannabis induced psychosis. (Contained in the DSM-4r and the DSM V).

All drugs, including prescribed ones, have cost and benefit ratios. Pot is very helful in reducing symptoms for certain medical conditions and there are widespread uses throughout the world. To say its use, however, is without any risk to individuals safety and well being is not a reasonable determination in light of current and past studies.

It is also important to realize that the average THC strengths of cultured cannabis are 6-8 times what they were in the past.

Police I have worked with before I retired have lab tested some pots showing over a 25% THC content on a regular basis. New emerging case studies on young people (still growing physically and emotionally) are beginning to indicate long term use by this population cohort may carry notable biological, emotional and social risks. I support legalizing use for medical purposes and adult recreation under appropriate social controls. I do not want pilots on pot when flying airliners. I do not want police or medical staff on any king of dope when protecting or caring for others. Pot is not a completely user friendly drug. Research aside, it is widely known that it can be quite pleasant for some users.

Riddle me this Perry Man!

Do doobie doers doing doobies drive drowsy? If that is the case; Are drowsy driving doobie doers doing doobies dangerous drivers?
