Yes, you are exactly right. When we lowered our membership status to FM because of personal obligations, I gingerly just started to search on the web to see what was written about the Family. I wasn't even looking for anything negative.
I mainly just found various accademics' reports and just some unbiased wikipedia info.
But, on one information site I found a link to an exmember site. It was "Sword of the Lord Ministries". I started reading various exmember's stories. I also read Ed Priebe's articles. That's what got me going... he spoke the TRUTH! He gave scriptures to support his views... and I was starting to "see" for the first time!
Then I started searching more on the Internet and I found the other exmember sites... it was the beginning of the end of my relationship with the Family and the beginning of a new life!!!
