The more I read from you the more I realize you never really had your heart into "it". Why did you join, why did you stay and why did you leave? I doubt it was the message to save the world but something else. Was it sex? That is the only reason why some one would join though FFing. Love and sex make a powerful combination to control people. Even system women find that out at some point. Why is it so hard for you to realize that?
That's why I think you were never a sold out disciple but some person's convert and when that person stopped giving you your 'fix', you bailed.
