Some experiences leave a deep wound on the mind, if not the soul. People are different in how much they are hurt by their decisions and life experiences, and people are different in how they heal and recover. Some minds are made completely whole & new, while others learn to live with ugly, sensitive scars. Those who are completely healed of a psychological wound may not have the greater blessing. If not for the constant pain of my injuries, I might not feel the need for Christ to bear my burden. Yes, I would like a complete healing and renewal in mind and body, but until that happens, I feel no less blessed in my infirmities.
