In the gaelic pagan tradition, the faerie queen Rhiannon (Rianna is a variant) ruled horses. Maria likes to ride--she's a top. As a sexual position, this expresses dominance and control. A male partner is more passive as a bottom.
I thought of this because Maria's approved cartoon image depicts her as an attractive woman in her 30's--more or less the female sexual peak (according to people who study this stuff). Maria may be slender, but an age-sensitive line drawing of a woman in her late 50s would show a more thickened waistline and slightly sagging breasts. There's nothing in the cartoon drawing to indicate aging.
Maria reached her position in life through sexual seduction, and it's important that her public persona continue to project the impression of a sexually desirable woman. The Rianna helper is about her "bewitching" sexuality.
