There is a slightly problematic problem

What was different was the periphery of so called catacombers and friends. Those categories were added or subtracted as needed. The number of actual live-in Family members was nothing like that.

This is relevant to the discussion in that the numbers given by TFI now may or may not include those who are in the periphery - I suspect they do simply to reduce its ratio to the known numbers of suicides.

Which brings in the question. Where did you get that in 1973, when you were in TFI, "the estimated membership was around 10,000." ...........?
