IDK - I felt like it was just a continuation of what Berg and Maria did to us. There was always that tightening up scenario that they did to make sure we didn't leave, question their authority, etc. They just played it out on the teens because here was a group of people they were having trouble dominating. I remember when some of the teens left in H.K. - I think it was one of Jeremy Spencer's son, Caleb's son, etc. some top leaders kids and everyone was just shocked. We could't believe they would actually leave what we thought was a better environment for them. They weren't happy? Duh! It was after that then that the tightening up got really bad and the more they tightened up, the more the kids would rebel. And it was across the board, adults too were getting the shaft and being sent out on the road, away from their families, being shipped off to some home for retraining, etc., etc.
