Not only was the FBI contacted over 12 years ago to start an investigation back then but they were given evidence. Exactly what evidence I'm not sure. The videos were given to police officials in many countries & helped turn the tide in the British court case.
I question the wisdom of their being released in the media but I guess they did help turn the public tide in America against the cult. The FBI along with millions of viewers have known about the child dance videos for over 12 years. Jim's reaction is just 12 years slower than the rest of the country.
