Jim, we accept that the FBI never instructed you one way or another. If they did, and you crossed them, they would probably charge you.
The question is, did they ever express any concern or preference, one way or the other? Did they ever indicate that it was a good idea, or a bad idea?
Did they support you in your decision to go public, and if not, why not?
I'm not interested in your reasons for going public, I'm interested in knowing if the FBI ever expressed any concerns to you about your decision, one way or the other. I'm sure you told them ahead of time of your plans, and I'm sure they expressed an opinion to you, one way or another. What was it?
Your refusal to clearly answer my questions above is leading me to believe that Jules is right -- that the FBI did not agree with or support your decision to go public.
