I'm sure Clair has her Flea bag packed & her emergency flee funds in dollars & Swiss franks stashed away. You can hold her feet to the heat for a time but the point will come when she'll jerk away & run.
That's why I think Jim is wasting his breath saying he hopes to see Clair at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Heck, he's not even likely to see her in court.
