This is a good point, since posters like Acheick and many others have worked hard to enlighten people about the doings of The Family & to help Family members make the transition to the real world. Some posters have voluntarily given hundreds of hours of their time to help out. Boards like MovingOn, Open House and this one have definitely helped people. Now there are new sites such as XFamily, LaMattery resources & others. And there are now two foundations, Safe Passage & Will to Life. Many people are doing a lot for their own (sometimes large) families, making things right & being accountable & many others are doing a great deal behind the scenes. Many others are doing about as much as they can to deal with their own post-cult trauma, or deal every single day with the damage done to their personal family. Those who can & do speak out in the media deserve a great deal of our respect, as do those who have the courage to write affidavits. But there are many whose work is not in the public eye who are doing all they can.
