As someone who knows -- I think David was trying to be helpful at the onset of the court cases. However, as time went on I believe he felt things were just not right with the Fam. Believe me, he did NOT (and I repeat NOT) compromise himself. He is very happily married. Yes, he may have been impressed with Family women, but that is as far as it went. And unfortunately, if your only access are young people who give a message of "clear sailing" in the Family, then that is what you report, albeit I do not believe David ever bought that hook-line-and-sinker. I think David always felt something was not quite right--good discernment.
