I have never read the like as Jim's post a few minutes ago on MO. He has not even read what Jules wrote yesterday -- says he has just read a few of the comments. Incredible.
I challenge anyone to go over there and read his reply near the top of the thread -- just under Jules list of questions.
Now, close your eyes and imagine that reply coming from Peter or Maria as an answer to their bitter detractors. So much in common it is almost spooky.
Two things scream at me. Three things.
1. Jim thinks the readers at MO are utter idiots who can be manipulated at will, and like being talked down to. I half expect him to start saying "Kids..."
2. Jim does not plan to answer the questions even though he invited Jules to "fire away."
3. Jim is scared stiff and has some terrible dark secret to hide. If he answers those questions truthfully, his ship is sunk.
Absolutely incredible -- his arrogance. The epitome of a loose cannon.
