In the systemite world where I have lived for the past 30 years, people with a vision and mission lay out a set of values and guiding principles. Even religious people! Looking at the website for LaMattery Resource and Will to Life Foundation, I see clear mission statements, but no statement of values.
The values I am concerned about with regard to Jim LaMattery's vision & mission are transparency, accountability, and cultural sensitivity.
Transparency addresses the questions: What is Jim really up to? What's going on behind the scenes that we can't see?
Accountability addresses the question: Why doesn't Jim answer the questions of the people from whom he is soliciting support for his mission?
Cultural sensitivity addresses the question: To what extent is Jim concerned about the very real possibility he may do further damage to some of the SGAs he is attempting to help? The road to hell is paved with good intentions. How do I know Jim isn't a well-intentioned go-gooder who wouldn't think twice about using the SGAs he helps as foundation poster children?
