Family Students: You may not be getting a very good education

Xfamily just posted this link to TF's "higher" education facility, The Christian Vocational School.

What's interesting about this website is what it doesn't tell you. It doesn't give you a list of faculty and their educational credentials. It doesn't give you an outline of course offerings for diplomate completion or a list of textbooks used in the courses. It also doesn't provide any syllabi for individual course offerings.

So let's say I sign up for the Vocational Training curriculum of childcare and education. Will I learn anything scientific about childhood development? Will I learn what Bowlby's or Ainsworth's studies have to say about infant-maternal attachment, something every systemite family studies major learns about? Will I learn Piaget's stages of cognitive development, something every systemite education major learns about?

Oh yeah, I forgot. The Bible and the New Wine have all the knowledge anyone needs to properly care for a child and educate him or her. That's how Mama raised Ricky, right? The fact that he complained about having a lousy education and wasn't well prepared for the educational expectations of systemite employers, well heck, that OBVIOUSLY had nothing to do with the rage that drove him to kill a stand-in for Mama and then himself.

I'd be pissed off and discouraged if I was nearing my 30th birthday and realized I didn't have as many marketable skills as the average 16 year old in raised in the System.
