I know a sister who had an abusive husband and reported it many times to leadership and when they became FM, they said they could not get "involved." She was afraid to be left on her own as she has been in the family for many years and gave her life to be in Asia, witnessing, ect. No one wanted to take her in because it may be a legal "problem for them"
