I've lived with Barry & Windy at the HCS in recent years. Windy was a bit too spiritual & annoying for me, but Barry was cool. (I know nothing about his past.) He was certainly very close to the top (I know he corresponded with WS/Zerby/Kelly a lot), but he wasn't, at least at that time, in any official leadership position. He was producing some GP kids music, and stuff like Family CD covers, etc.
He liked to surf, & during the summer would often take teens down to the beach with him during get out (we were always looking for a driver to take us there). He has an ex-member son (not from Windy) named Marcus who (since probably the age of 15 or so) has been very much a part of the Tokyo/Roppongi nightlife/party/drug scene. Nice kid, but rather fucked up.
