Yes, you're right. They are in complete denial about Ricky and the circumstance leading to the tragedy.
Most of us had some happy, smiley times in TF too, but that's not the whole story by far. Those photos of Ricky are in stark contrast to the picture he painted of his childhood in his suicide video.
It's just so, so sad that they continue to manipulate him. The message they are trying to give by posting so many pictures of him in his happiest moments is that the "anti-religious bigots and apostates", to quote Keda's daughter, Tina, and others on myconclusion, must be wrong. They refuse to accept Ricky's own words in his video, that he had a f**ked up childhood.
I wonder what pictures of him taken after he saw the daily bruises on Mene would reveal, for example? And anyway, Ricky was no different than many of us, we became very good at concealing our true feelings so that we wouldn't get reprimanded, or worse. Years and years of burying real emotions and putting on a happy face can only have tragic results later on, in one form or another.
