I joind COG in the Philippines in 1987 and was bound for Baguio City for a 3 month stay before I left. It took me many years and still i feel the pain.
In late 1980s and in 1994, the Philippine Senate Committee on Family investigated the COG fueled by allegations that some top noth Generals in the Military are involved in the COG or have fathered children with "flirty fishers".
I was in the newspapers and got involved in the the Senate investigation in the process. In 1987 then President Cory Aquino banned the COG, their identified (I was able to give a few real names that time) members deported and it was, for more than a week on the news headlines. The local media have called them "Sex Cult".
I surrendered plenty of original materials to the NBI that time, but later investigation in 1997 discovered all these were lost or misplaced, reason for some senators to castigate the then chief of the NBI.
Anyway, I just want to share with people who can understand me and can identify with what I went through.
I hope, somehow I can speak to someone or write to someone. I wish, insha Allah that we will all move on, but also remembering to pray for those who are still inside.
