Even if it's a verbatim quote, Ed, it's still a projection. Have you ever noticed how much the leadership of the Family projects a characterization of its own unsavory behavior onto others and then condemns others for crimes and sins they have committed?
Anyone who would describe the Family's current role in world affairs as comparable to the Protestant Reformation has got MAJOR deliriums of grandeur going on. But of course, people need to know something about church history to realize how absurd Zerby's claims are.
Spiritual arrogance? That describes Karen Zerby comparing herself to the world-class theologian Martin Luther. Of course, people need to know something about theology to realize how bizaare a comparison like that is. You do more theology than a lot of exFamily people, but as far as I know, you've never compared yourself to Martin Luther.
But most important, you've never taught anyone that Old Testament scriptures referring to the Messiah are actually prophetic pronouncements about you. THAT, my dear, is a classic delusion of grandeur.
