This person purports to "project (Ed's) ambition for power, (his) propensity to deliriums of grandeur and (his) spiritual arrogance. (His) endeavors, with no regards for the means, to lead The Family, become the star writer of their letters and feed up (his) personal ego."
Whoever this is, s/he's doing a good job with projecting a shadow, that is, disclaiming unacceptible parts of her/his "personal ego" that are offended by Ed's audacity during the Manila episode.
The concluding paragraph is preceded by a question about the videotapes and other incriminating evidence Ed purloined from the Manila Home--as in, "you didn't use it all, so where's the rest?"
Maybe Remembrance wants some of that material to use for his own purposes? Or maybe Remembrance is worried about incriminating evidence surfacing that could cause her some legal problems?
