I guess what scares me the most (being a former SGA) is that I still have a hard time seeing this stuff as "abuse", for the simple fact that it was such a day to day part of our lives that it seemed normal. Talk about brain-washing. I can't even fully convince myself that it was abuse, instead it was "being a help". God help me. I guess it's more like being in denial at this point. I have 3 children & I'm just thankful that they won't have to go "litnessing" or busking for coins, etc...they are in school, learning what they need to in order to be able to choose the type of life they want to live.
