Spanking is more than patting a child, bruises or not. Many SG adults are just now realizing that what was done to them was abuse. They defended their parents and their abuses but are slowly understanding what was really going on. Many old FG are too. It is not a matter of different parenting style. It is cruel to inflict pain on a child, more so when it is done on purpose under the guise of correction and love.
