I think Jeannie Zerby Dayo actually wrote it

I agree that Jeannie's post on The Family's "My Conclusion" website sounded very much like the cult's way of addressing the tragedy, repeating their key PR thoughts even, but I don't think that someone else wrote the letter for her. I think she genuinely wrote it herself because she has swallowed the lies and half-truths that Family representatives have fed her.

Since she's a Christian, she really ought to do like the Bereans did, "to search and see if these things be so." Otherwise her and her husband are only getting one side of the story, the Family's. Of course, if there's money involved, then they may not want to search out the truth and buck the Family. They'd have too much at stake.

I get the feeling that Jeannie is not exactly the brightest but that her husband is more of a thinking guy, the practical businessman. I'm betting Jeannie will never check things out but that he'll be inclined to dig a little deeper, if only to know the kind of cult his wife's family has become involved in.

I mean, like Observer pointed out, the Family is anti-semitic and treat Hitler practically like a hero! If her husband reads that stuff they may realize it's wise toback away from supporting the Family in public statements.
