I think Pat getting the Family's foot in the door in the American legal system is going to prove to be one helluva Waterlook for the Family when FCF goes down as it looks set to do. So Pat's idea has served the cause of exmembers admirably! He has done the Family more damage to the Family as a friend than if he'd been an enemy.
