Thanks for your public statement & glad to hear of the healing going on in your personal family as a result. Someone already posted your statement on this board a week or so ago when it first came out, which is why there's not a lot of response to it now. But rest assured that you've been read and heard, and I hope more of our generation follow your example.
Maybe they don't need to make a public statement, but like you, I challenge everyone to re-examine any long held beliefs re: the 'good in the Family' & come to terms with all the evil that was loosed in the Family & which directly impacted their own personal families & children.
I think a lot of people don't like to admit that so much of their lives were spent in something that ended up corrupt & evil (& put bluntly, was a cult) because then they would feel invalidated as individuals. While no one wants to feel that years of their life were wasted, you've proved that coming to terms with that issue allows you to then validate your own children's suffering. It frustrates me when parents refuse to acknowledge their kids suffering & instead still support the cult that abused their kids.
You're more than welcome to post on these boards & share your heart anytime you wish to! Again, congratulations on your courageous stand & on the healing that you have started.
