I was very upset when I read that Claire Borowick doubted Daniel's claim of abuse, saying, "Well, he had never told his parents before."
I've been out of the family for ten years and just a couple of months ago, one of my adult sons told he was sexually molested as a young teen. It happened 18 years ago and I never knew.
The young person for the family that spoke on PrimeTime said, "If there's child abuse, how come none of my over 100 friends in the family were abused?" Most likely they were abused; she just doesn't know about it. The family does not encourage anyone talking about this. (Either that, or they were too young.)
BTW, I was sexually molested and nearly raped at knifepoint when I was 17 (not in the family) and although my mom and I have an excellent relationship, I have never told her about it.
