Some of us who have spoken up before and been public and on the record (without anonymity and shadows) know how difficult it can be, especially because there is no understanding of the fact that not all the parents were perverts and psychos. The perverse nature of the whole thing stains anybody who is associated with it.
Anyway, aside from personally not abusing kids and eventually mustering up the strength to leave, have you thought about the fact that aside from leaving, there was little that could be done to stop what was happening to Ricky or Mene or other kids in Victor Camps and even individual homes?
We could only stop ourselves from being duped by those sickos, some of us could save our own kids by taking them with us, but we could not save the kid who was living with his own parents who saw things differently. We could not stop what was happening when other parents made other decisions. We did what we could. In some countries it is even harder than here to alert authorities over child abuse, when you suspect it. Here there are mandated reporters in some professions, and it is expremely hard because often kids end up in foster care that can be even worse.
In some other countries there are different laws that make the idea of finding any justice even more remote. After a court case of several years, the molester gets one year only for example. He will get out before that long. In the meantime victims of torture and abuse live with their nightmare.
Some people tried to talk about these things and did go public (even Deborah Berg) and in some countries there were raids and investigations. Still, they managed to lie and smear the people who had the courage to talk and Smith and Smith and Berg when he was there kept doing what they were doing.
For TF to be no more, either the top has to be brought in front of a court of law, or all the people who are ENABLING the top have to wake up from their blind following and leave like we did.
