OK, here I go starting a controversy, but my opinion is that this day mostly belongs to the SGs. Over 24 of them are upset enough to speak to the media & unless some FG like James Penn has something outstanding to say, I say we FGs should let the SGs take the lead & us do anything we can to provide logistics, support, documentation, lit scans, etc. etc. If some of us have something we just can't hold in & the media wants to film us as well, go for it.
Ricky was an SG & THE experimental child of the Family. His tragic murder of Angela was the result of years of abuse & frustration at seeking justice. In many ways he epitomizes & is an outstanding example of what his generation suffered, but he was by no means the only one. Their stories show that he was not alone in what he suffered, so practically speakingit really behooves us to let the SGs take the stage & speak what's on their minds.
Please understand this is only one person's opinion & I'm not discouraging any FGs who really believe they should speak in the media at this time & I applaud James Penn, but if there are only a few 15-second blurbs available for someone to get across a vital soundbite, then I'd rather see Daniel or another ex-SG speaking than James Penn or any FG.
But if you want to speak on TV, more power to you. Go for it.
