grant,if you are reading this, i'm not sure it is even possible for you to begin to reexamine your situation. but i do believe that of all the top brass in the family i know, you may be able to begin to understand the way the population outside the fish bowl view the issues stirred up by this recent tragedy. you must realize that p's comments and strategy are not only waiving a serious red flag in the face of exmems of both generations, but the average man in the street see's these statements as blatantly deceptive and heartless beyond belief. if you, or anyone for that matter, has any pull at all w/ peter, please consider trying to intercede. it is, in my opinion, utterly destructive to all parties to stonewall like this.
it is hard to imagine maria's state of mind. perhaps she is in a serious state of shock, and unable to process the enormity of the situation. but from where i sit, i do not believe the family has ever faced this type of apocalypse before. someone needs to try and escape the hermetic bubble, and make a serious reevaluation. there is no undoing the horrors of the past, but how things play out from here on out may be affected by actions taken now. perhaps some future tragedies, affecting the hearts and lives of many both in and out of the family, can be avoided.
