I remember reading that as a teen in the cult and being taken back by it--but as it goes, not saying or doing anything about my shock.
Berg seems to have considered women nothing more than a tool, chattel, to be used and thrown out when usefulness is done. How cold-hearted! If I had the guts then that I have now I would have left so much earlier, one of my biggest regrets!
And to be teaching this to the young girls growing up, no wonder we felt so worthless, sex and having children were our main skills, we were being trained mentally to grow into the male-chauvenist ideals of Berg, to accept them without question, and many of us did for a long time. Is it any wonder we are left with so many problems after leaving the cult?
