Forgive me Lydia, but the reason for this denial is IMO all too simple. They fight for survival, that they're way off the beam, the truth is not really too clear to them in their delusion. They thought, they did it in "love"...they get opposition from people, who are old bottles...they think they're right - minus the few "real" offenders, which they "dealt with" (may be),like injuring someone etc.
In the back of their mind there lingers the fear, that this would be the end of TF, if they'd admit too much...they just went a little over board, but they addressed all that, some naughty hippies took too much freedom, but we're now in control of all that...I mean, it seems Claire B. would have to do some confessing herself...who'd be left, if they
turned themselves over to the police???????
Isn't it obvious, that they try to get the water out of the sinking ship as much as possible? The goal seems,to postpone the sinking.Whitewashed sepulchres come also to my mind. But let's be honest & fair:That much confession takes quite some repentance & courage & those who'd do it, I'd praise loudly.
I think in general that some real soulsearching is
not so common in modern society...either poking fun at crimes or glossing it over seems more the rule to me.It doesn't excuse TFs crimes, but is somewhat in line with the weaknesses of us human beings & few stand out of the general crowd.
By the way, Claire B. seems rightfully to be in trouble, given the infos here & there, however
what about James Penn...would there be any double standard?I know it's uncomfortable to be in "surgery", getting rid of the black parts in life,
however his silence in the interview was not too comforting IMO.If you have good news, you say:
No sir, I have never molested, sexually abused any
children, I can swear that.
By the way, this is a "trick
