What about paragraphs from The Last State? It was a transcription of a tape. It is full of violence. Is that in the pubs? There is so much violence and preaching of violence, or threat inducing stuff just like with batterers. The violence (emotional, psychological, physical) is perpetrated and then it only needs to be hinted at to get the abused to "behave." i remember i could not even read that stuff, it was like a nightmare.
It is always the same story, using traumatic testimonies and instilling fear in people. Actually I think that is one of the most dangerous things because it is a kind of programming. When you start to thaw from all that programming the results can be quite devastating, with the severe PTSD, rage, guilt, and sense of helplessness.
