Latest from TF on Elderhaven

In TF's latest comments (posted on movingon)Peter denies that TF bought Elderhaven for her parents or any "Family" connection aside from Angela being on the board there. As much as I love conspiracy theories I have to concede that he could very well be telling the truth. Sarafina (a close friend of Rickys) stated that Zerby didn't buy a rest home for her parents but did buy them a house. Peter didn't comment on that rumour so ,either he didn't see the comment or perhaps it's true. ??

People buy property every day and even people on relatively low incomes can buy a decent slice of property over a period of time. I don't find it odd or impossible that Eugene and Florence Zerby could have aquired property on their own and don't think the fact that do own property is "proof" that Karen Zerby had a had in it. It is a bit suss that Angela was on their board but, you never know, that could have been her CTP. Someone has pointed out that Ricky loved his grandparents and aunt and wouldn't want them attacked. I totally agree with that.

I still want to know if Zerby bought a house for her parents simply because it would be such an enormous double-standard that I doubt current members could overlook it.

For me this is simply about a gross double-standard - one rule for Zerby and co and one for the peons. Nobody is going to get their tithe back. And why should they? Tithe given is just that - given. People give to stupid causes every day. If people find out though that their tithe is going (in part) to house Zerbys family rather than being re-invested in "the work" they may change their mind about giving it though.
