Absolutly, and they have no qualms about taking advantage of disasters to scam people out of money. For example:
Acheick's ex-husband, who lives in Thailand, is still a TF member. He is going to visit the Thai community in California, and seek money to supposedly help victims of the tsunami.
In typical TF fashion, they do a token amount of giving food and clothing to the poor, and use the event as a photo-op. They then post the pictures on their web page and use this as a money-making tool.
Acheick told me her ex-husband uses this technique to live like a king in Thailand. She is now trying to alert the Thai community leaders to be watching out for these TF scammers.
