One important element of bringing down the house is having places where people can go. There are some places specific to survivors of cults that do take funds to apply for scholarships for stays at their therapeutic and longer term places to help people adjust to life after the cult, or to help people who have even been out for some time but are having problems adjusting.
SO, would it be possible for organizations to list a contact person and address to send funds, and perhaps a short description of what they can provide now, or coud provide with more funds?
For example I know Meadow Haven takes funds for scholarships for people that cannot afford their very reasonable suggested cost of 1700. per person for what appears to be an excellent program assisting people with therapy, and help to get on their feet over a long period of time.
Also SAFE PASSAGE could list a contact number and place to send funds and description of what is offered or what they are working on building. If the building is coming down, or even if it isn't, these places could use financial support to have space in place to assist people leaving cults or those that have left but are in need of a place to go and heal that is comprehensive and safe.
Another place is a residential home in Germany which is managed by Inge Mamay, who left the family YEARS and YEARS ago and is now a professional with years of experience of helping others who leave abusive situations.
Getting the contact places together and place to send funds for different orgs, and getting their mission statements and services available listed, and an address to send donations would be helpful. Then anyone who wants to can use some of what we have learned in the family for a truely good cause, like going to churches or businesses that we know and raising funds for scholarships?
