Joy was an older FG woman like some poster below says & Peter A. said that she was part of their staff for years so probably she knew Ricky real well when he was growing up.
There's a lot of suspicous stuff about this. Ranking WS people wouldn't go visit Ricky Maria's son on their own initiative. My guess is Maria & Peter sent Joy with a message from Mama & the message made Ricky react in sudden rage. I agree this was probably a crime of passion. Sue was the messenger representing the face of evil. Maybe she even brought him a veiled threat since he had said he wanted to track his mom down.
Remember that Ricky was not an unintelligent person. There's probably a lot more to this than we know so far. I hope the truth comes out.
