Yes R. did fish around those waters, he did the movie "Brother Sun, Sister Moon" wanting to use members for extras but I don't believe that happened.. don't know for sure. But he did have contact with the fam when he made that movie. Of course, he had to have only seen the side of the family that presents the ideals without the grim reality of it all.
