Thank you.
Yes, they have done all of the following:
1. Repaid ALL of the money that I sent in for the rooms.
2. Paid ALL of the extra expense we ran up getting new hotels at the last minute, including things like having to purchase breakfast for all five of us every day (breakfast was included in the deal that went bad).
3. Paid us an generous extra amount to compensate us for our inconvenience.
4. Invited us to stay at the flagship hotel in Lausanne, Switzerland two nights for free next time we go to Europe (including dinner, and some tickets for local sight seeing).
5. Sent me a surprise birthday gift (not sure how they knew it was my birthday) this week. A big assortment of swiss chicolate, some mints, and a swiss army knife.
I have agreed to help them with their case against the former Director of their Americas Division when and if she ever turns up. this would include testimony, sworn statements and furnishing evidence that I have.
They should have handled the matter in a more humane fashion when we found ourselves stranded in Europe. But, I think that any reasonable person would be satisfied at how they have gone out of their way to make up for that.
I certainly hope that the missing Director is found. I think that she will likely face criminal charges. She used US Mail, the Internet and long distance telephone to carry out this fraud against us. I believe that kind of thing carries federal prison time if convicted.
I've written extensively about the trip on my personal website, and included a lot of pictures. Anyone interested is welcome to visit:
