Except for her it's a stupid fairy tale and as you said that her opinion, which has nothing to do with "showing respect" as Child said. What is Child trying to accomplish by lecturing J? Child should respect J's opinion without the pedantics.
You're right, most fairy tales aren't stupid, I like them too.
