Of course you are angry and you are not the only one that is. I am too. I also understand your hatred of things associated with the family. I feel like things that should be beautiful have been so destroyed and distorted that I will never reconcile parts of my life where damage has happened. But I want to say that I have seen SOME things change that I thought never would. Even though it took many years. Like with sex, it is a horrible feeling to love someone and feel a need for sex and a repulsion for it at the same time. Same with intimacy like just hugging or kissing. It can still trigger really bad feelings. It is no small wonder that when rape, child molestation, belittling of women, etc. is associated with God and Jesus and the Bible that the result would be to chunk it all. I am not a Christian either and hope that you get all the support you need for the hurts from the family.
