You know, dancing is a very interesting social event, and it is perfectly ok to dance with others even if you are not single. It is a great way to socialize.
I know a lot of couples who come as couples and dance with most everyone. In fact, it is socially polite to dance with most people who would ask you. Of course you are free to decide which dances you want to do as a couple.
Is your last sentence something having to do with the ancient puritanical assumption that dancing could lead to sex? (or vice versa :-)
Am curious.
