I had a few trips this year 2 of which could be called vacations. I guess I'm never really 100% on vacation because I'm always taking my work with me wherever I go. What I need are some carefree days, just to enjoy a good book, without worrying about how my partner is doing, without worrying about getting to an Internet cafe to check in on the site, without getting business calls from colleagues while I'm trying to unwind on the beach, without taking the opportunity to check out this or that in regards to my work or volunteer work, etc... I would like to have a good uninterrupted 3-week vacation in the same spot, preferably on a deserted beach, because it takes about 5 days to a week to adjust to not thinking about work and home.
