I think my original thoughts have been totally miscontrued. We obviously have different a very interpretation about the word VENT. To me VENT is to discuss and debate.
Because atheists do not believe in God per say it doesn't mean that they want to DISS religion. I'm a religious studies scholar for goodness sake. However personally, I am sick to death of being judged and preached at at every turn on every board no matter what the rules are when I express my non belief.
If Christians can have Kathys Corner why cant non believers have a Corner. We have issues too and just because we are not asking for prayer doesn't mean that we don't need advice and help in a space that is completely free of judgement of our lack of belief. I am not criticising anyone especially not the Coordinators (they do a sterling job) but its just my thoughts. Perry's suggestion is a great one. Journey's should accomodate non believers as well as spiritual journeys.
My main point was that newcomers to this site may feel that they do not want to join in when they see the vitriol that comes from many bible bashing Christians (wait for the backlash). Some people have had enough of that to last a life time.
