GOOD point about christians in general sitting on their asses, leaving a vacuum into which anything can enter, in that guise.

i think its up to the one. i call it the star principle: where the effect you have, say, on a person, then has an effect on everything they do thereafter, which has an effect on those people and situations around THEM, etc. shines from you in all directions.
doesn't have to be a church; it seems the congregation that i know are far and few between and often don't even know each other.
