I don't know what a friend is anymore... I only have my high school friendships to remember. Friends weren't allowed in the Family because we were supposed to loyal to the "word" and not to be like worldly people who don't know anything better.
Even a marriage was strange. It's a miracle I and my husband are still together. .. and I mean a MIRACLE!
Since being out for one year, I can't really rate my time in the Family now... it's all still cloudy. Of course everyday was not a drag or depressing... but boy did I carry a load on my shoulders! I don't miss anything whatsoever... because I know that you CAN find good experiences wherever you are... and in a more healthy environment.
As for the so-called "friends" we left behind, the ones who are still blinded to the Truth... we have just pity for them... deep pity.
